Frequently asked questions
MADE CX lets Culture Makers register their cultural property, establish a verifiable record and value, and license it — keeping the majority of every license. Licensing, not trading.
The basics
What is MADE CX?
A platform where Culture Makers register their creative work as cultural property, get a verifiable record of it, and license it to others — while keeping ownership and most of the income. Our tagline is “Making Culture Bankable.”
What counts as “cultural property”?
Your creative work — art, music, writing, design, performance, and more. On MADE CX it’s treated as property you own and license, not something you sell off.
Who is a “Culture Maker”?
The person who made the work — the originator and rights holder. Culture Makers register and license; buyers request licenses.
Is this crypto or NFTs?
No. MADE CX is about licensing real cultural property with a verifiable record (a ledger) — not minting tokens or trading. A CPRS rating is an appraisal mark, never a coin, an offer, or a price.
Registering your work
How do I register?
Go to Register, describe your work (type or use the voice mic), add images, and submit. A MADE CX officer reviews it; once approved it gets a permanent record, a BCID, and your $Ticker, and becomes available to license.
What’s a $Ticker?
Your permanent symbol of ownership — like $HALIM. Every work you register is recorded under it.
What’s CPRS?
The Cultural Property Rating Standard — a rating of a work under a published methodology. It’s an appraisal mark, not an offer, price, or forecast.
What’s the modeled value (TCPMV)?
A modeled estimate of a work’s value, shown for context and used to set license-band prices. It’s a model — not a guaranteed or asking price.
How much does registering cost?
Your first 5 registrations are free, for life. After that it’s $4.99 per registration.
Licensing & payment
How does licensing work?
A buyer requests a license at a chosen band and describes their intended use. You approve, counter, or decline. If approved, they pay to clear the license and it’s recorded. You’re licensing use — you never sell or lose ownership.
What are the license bands?
Six bands, from Personal & Education up to Exclusive, priced by who’s using the work and how far it travels. Exclusive / full transfers are a sale, handled by consultation — never a one-click checkout.
How do Culture Makers get paid?
Every paid license splits 80 / 16 / 4 — Culture Maker / MADE CX / community reinvestment. You keep 80%. Payouts run through your connected account.
How long do I have to answer a request?
10 business days. Unanswered requests expire.
For buyers
How do I license a work?
Find it on the Market or a Culture Maker’s page, pick a band, and request a license with your intended use. The Culture Maker approves or counters; you pay to clear and receive your license.
What is Culture Market Data?
The live market of CPRS-rated cultural property you can license today — plus culture commerce happening off the ledger (works not yet registered). You can ask a maker to register, and you’ll be first to license when they do.
Is my contact information shared?
No. Communication happens through the platform. A demand signal shares your organization’s name, never your contact details.

CPRS™ is a rating under a published methodology — an appraisal mark, not an offer, price, or forecast. Registered value (TCPMV) is shown where the Culture Maker has opted in. MADE CX licenses cultural property; it does not trade it.
